Today we are opening up public access to our internal typographic scale and layout token architecture. Over the last two years, this framework has powered our long-form publishing work, helping us eliminate arbitrary pixel values and maintain visual balance across screens.

Design systems often grow overly complex, bogged down by hundreds of conflicting variables that slow down production.

Our system takes the opposite approach, focusing strictly on spatial discipline, modular type scales, and predictable vertical rhythm. By standardizing font size relationships, line height ratios, and baseline alignment rules, design teams can build fluid, highly legible interfaces without micro-managing every breakpoint.

Open-sourcing our core design tokens is about pushing for higher typographic standards and functional restraint across the web.

The release includes key implementation guides, token definitions, and pre-configured font-pairing setups designed to drop directly into existing headless CMS workflows.
